Site Specific can work with your team to develop a server solution that meets your immediate needs and will scale to meet your anticipated needs. All of our clustered server solutions are designed and deployed on a per customer basis. We will provide you with complete network diagrams upon the successful implementation of your clustered server solution as well as a hardware implementation plan for future expansion.

The following clustered server solutions are intended as representative samples of the type of solutions we can deploy for you. If you have additional questions or would like to schedule a meeting with one of our network engineers, please contact sales.

  Example 1

 Description
Single web server with backside connection to database server. Web farm protected by firewall.
 Application
Entry level configuration with the ability to scale, adding redundancy or Virtual Datacenter©
 Features
Web Server Windows 2000, IIS 5
 Database Server MS SQL 2000

  Example 2

 Description
Load balanced web servers with front side and backside network. Web servers are generally load balanced via Round Robin DNS or software load balancing (MS Server Load Balancing). Two switches are shown for illustration of front side and backside network, but one switch can be used with VLAN support.
 Application
This configuration is geared toward the online merchant who requires the performance and scalability that separate web and database servers provide. A firewall in front of the web farm adds increased data security while allowing for easy integration with a Virtual Datacenter©
 Features
Web Server Windows 2000, IIS 5
 Database Server MS SQL 2000

  Example 3

 Description
Load balanced web servers with front side and backside network. Web servers are load balanced via hardware based redundant load balancing. Redundant SQL servers utilize Storage Area Network (SAN) for centralized data storage. Switches, firewalls, and load balancers may be implemented in a meshed configuration for additional redundancy (these connections are shown in orange).
 Application
An advanced configuration for high volume and mission critical applications, this configuration is fully redundant to ensure continued operation in the event of a catastrophic failure. Additional servers can be added to accommodate increased load or to migrate specialized services (streaming media server, image server, etc.) to a dedicated server.
 Features
Web Server Windows 2000, IIS 5
 Database Server MS SQL 2000
